The public square in my paintings is a space where psychological interactions take place.
Among so many complex mutual relationships in modern society, I often find myself consistently trying to conceal anxiety and the sense of alienation.
The public in the square is in fact a self-portrait of my own, carrying on through this uncomfortableness of the present era. It is also a capture of the faces of young artists who have to live out the anxiety. I wonder if my daily life is real, or the life as an artist is real. All I wish is to freely drift about such a vague boundary inside the painting.
