Root of Wisdom
My work is on the theme of human existence. It displays not the triumphant aspects but the deficits and incompleteness of humans. Through the forms of plants, animals, and objects, my work metaphorically unveils such incompleteness.
The current Covid-19 situation clearly demonstrates the flaws of humans. Humans have achieved numerous civilizations and cutting-edge technology, but are helpless before the microscopic virus. This situation reminds me of the fall of the Tower of Babel, which epitomizes the vainglorious human desire to become God. My goal is to make statements about the naked truth of human existence filled with vain. Only the “Modesty” of admitting our deficits will be the “Root of Wisdom”.
