Creatures confined in structures. Animals in the zoos, mountains that have lost half of the body, and socialized humans… Especially humans confine themselves in structures for self-transformation. I focused on the social structure, in which humans construct an abusive place called ‘zoo’, and perceive it as an entertainment. Capitalism, that has been beautified throughout mass media, deluded people’s minds into consuming non-humans. I also have been taught in this structure for a long time, and now I attempt to cautiously break away from the conventional structure of exhibiting and viewing artworks. The viewers exposed to unconventional or defected forms of artwork, so that they may feel uncomfortable at the uneven arrangements, severed images and rough strokes. Such awkwardness and unfamiliarity will gradually be blunted in the course of ‘repetitive exposure’, and eventually be adjusted into a new structure. I aim to remain in the center of such transformation. When the new structure emerges, I will strive to be fitted in it, and after a while I will recognize my situation and struggle to escape it once again. I will never get away from this cycle.
