Mina Ham’s work stems from her childhood.
The traces in her mind are reinterpreted in her present time, and translated onto canvas as indefinite forms that hold emotions and sentiments, rather than as a realistic portrayal of a particular figure.

I grew up in a seaside village where fogs were frequent and the house was surrounded with trees.
I have lived near the East Sea and also in Busan during my childhood, and this geographical influence is imprinted in my work. As it delineates the unignited stories of my childhood memories, it evokes faint vestiges of a particular place, a season, or an individual. It is a presentation of eternity that links the past, the present, and the future.
