I am interested in the urban environment that overflows with sensuous stimulus and how we react to them. As a devoted artist and a spontaneous history-teller who responds to the ever-changing world, I attempt to reconstruct the urban landscapes. My installation pieces employ some common industrial materials such as wires, rubber hoses, plastic containers, silicones, plasters and bricks to reconstruct the cityscape. My paintings also focus on recombining the fragmented imagery of the city. I wander around the city, picking up petty objects from the streets and often making purchases. Afterward, based on my impression of the city, I reassemble my collection into a sculpture. The viewers of the outcome may not exactly recognize what I have seen and felt. However, they may understand that I have seen something, and that the sculptures are in my own language.
