When photography became generalized through cameras and it became meaningless to reproduce visible objects, Cézanne expressed what photography could not do on canvas. For me, work is a process of expressing the emotions and thoughts I felt while looking at the world as a subject rather than reproducing the world as it appears, with my own colors, dots, lines, and planes, carefully and delicately and sometimes intensely. In the process, the limits of thinking gradually disappear, and the value of imagination that is impossible in reality is maximized. I think the world is made up of points, lines, and planes. In a small way, in everyday life, a person seen far away is shown as a dot, and the boundary line is shown as a line, and when the head is raised, the form of a slowly flowing cloud is expressed as a plane. Furthermore, in the infinite universe, each planet such as Earth appears as a single dot. These gazes are expressed in points, lines, and planes in his work, and he is working to compose and formatively arrange them. In the past, the small apple representing Post-Impressionism in the late 19th century inspired numerous artists at the time and had a great influence on the development of modernism in the 20th century. In the 21st century modern society, as time goes by, the Internet and a kind of portable computer-level smart phone are popularized, and borders have virtually disappeared. Furthermore, humankind is dreaming of leaving the earth, the cradle of mankind, and moving to the moon and Mars in space. As such, as an artist, I am living in a wave of change that was hard to imagine in the past. Taking the heritage of our human art history as the root of my work, I want to experience and learn today's modern society filled with change and innovation, and combine it in my work to inherit and further develop the art history of our human beings in contemporary art.
