I paint green nature.
Green, a mixture of yellow and blue, is a neutral color in terms of temperature. Green is believed to relieve stress and ease tense feelings, balancing our emotions. We instinctively seek for green nature perhaps to balance ourselves, because we are living in a world brimming with stimulus.
The natural sceneries I have seen in the past settled randomly in my memory, entangled with my fatigued emotions. The sky, the mountain, and the ocean in my memory are conjured up through the filters of my emotions and are translated into various colors and brushstrokes over a landscape painting. Such landscapes can never be accurate, because my emotion at the moment is engraved within the image permanently. Moreover, the hues of the sky continuously change along with the weather, which then affect the altering shades of mountains and waters. Such colors of nature inspire the translation of my emotions onto the canvas. The wind and the fog might sometimes blur and white out parts of the landscape, but only to maximize the dreamy sensation.
I paint an emotional self-portrait, in the language of nature and weather.
